1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website at jusegeu.site, operated by Explore South Africa Editorial, PO Box 4187, Cape Town 8000, South Africa ("we", "us"). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Purpose of the site

The site is an independent, non-commercial reference about travel in South Africa. It publishes regional descriptions, seasonal notes and practical information. It is not a booking service, a tour operator, a travel agency or an advisory service, and it does not act as an intermediary for any provider.

3. Nature of the information

All material is published for general information. It is not personal advice and should not be treated as advice on travel safety, health, immigration, insurance, driving, weather or the outdoors. Conditions in the places described change with the season, the year and the day. Before you travel, verify current information with the responsible authority — the relevant park authority, road agency, meteorological service, health service or diplomatic mission.

We take reasonable care that material is accurate at the time of publication and we correct errors when they are reported. We do not warrant that any page is complete, current or free of error, and we do not undertake to update pages continuously.

4. Your own decisions

Decisions about where you travel, when, by what route and with what preparation are yours. You are responsible for holding valid travel documents, appropriate insurance, any required permits, and — where relevant — professional medical advice for the regions you enter. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss, injury, delay, expense or damage arising from decisions taken on the basis of material published here.

5. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the text, layout, images, illustrations, source code and design of this site are the property of Explore South Africa Editorial and are protected by copyright and related rights.

You may:

• read, print and store pages for personal, non-commercial use;
• quote short extracts in non-commercial editorial work with clear attribution to Explore South Africa and a link to the page quoted.

You may not, without prior written permission:

• republish, mirror or systematically copy pages or substantial parts of them;
• use the material for commercial purposes, including in the marketing of travel services;
• use the site's images outside the pages in which they appear;
• use automated tools to scrape, harvest or bulk-download material, or to compile a derived dataset;
• remove or alter attribution, copyright notices or the version dates on legal pages.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site in a way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, or that affects other visitors. In particular you agree not to attempt unauthorised access to any part of the site or its hosting, not to introduce malicious code, not to place disproportionate load on the service, and not to use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages or unlawful content.

7. Messages you send us

When you send a question, correction or comment, you confirm that it is your own and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may quote a correction in an amended page — anonymously unless you ask to be named. Personal data in your message is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement or any relationship with the operators. We have no control over their content, availability or practices and accept no responsibility for them. Linking to our pages is welcome, provided the link is not presented in a way that suggests approval or association that does not exist, and provided our pages are not framed within another site.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Pages may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time without notice, including for maintenance, and the site may be discontinued altogether.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from use of or inability to use this site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you rights that these terms would otherwise limit, those rights are unaffected.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised. The version and date at the top of this page identify the current text, and the version in force when you use the site is the one that applies. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect, and the invalid provision is treated as replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects its intent.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
